Should we give McCain a look?

Rhetoric like this makes me think maybe he’s worthy of consideration: “Osama bin Laden is complaining the Sunni tribes are coming over to our side,” he said of Iraq. “By the way, I will get Osama bin Laden. I will follow him to the gates of hell. He is someone who must be brought to justice.”

Nobody else, on either side, seems to have this clarity of purpose that I find refreshing. It would be nice to hear some of the other candidates focus more clearly on the mastermind on 9/11.

I thought it was important to show you the video of Hillary’s near-break-down.

I ask you to imagine that Hillary is in a tough negotiation with a foreign leader and it’s not going her way. Is this what we are to expect? If this happened with Sarkozy does anyone really believe that he wouldn’t (in the interest of comforting out distraught leader) hit on her? What if she did this with a middle eastern leader? Would that give her any sort of respect, strength?

I’m sorry boys and girls, Hillary is done. Focus on Barak Hussein Obama. He is our opponent. After New Hampshire and South Carolina, I think Hillary will be in a free fall. There will probably be more crying. We may or may not see it, but crying will occur. Think about running against Obama, gentlemen. That is your opponent.

Tears of a Clown

Hillary Clinton fought back tears as she pleaded for votes in the Granite State.  This article immediately made me wonder: do we really want a person to be president that falls to pieces over votes?  What is something truly horrible happened during this person’s term?  I, for one, want a president that remains steadfast and calm under pressure.  We need someone that can handle the stress of criticism and public scrutiny.  There are lots of things to get distressed about.  Hell, maybe there are even things one should cry about.  Losing momentum in an election where one seeks power and prestige is hardly the time or the issue to cry over.  I expect strength, or at least the projection to the world of it, out of my leaders.

Is she really crying because no one likes her?  Jeesh, if this is the norm then I am surprised Bush doesn’t curl up in a ball and sob at every press conference!

And now, for today’s home electronics news.

For those interested in the next-generation HD format war, it looks like Blu-Ray might have just won it. I hope nobody got an HD-DVD player for Christmas!
