SHUT UP!
Why in Heaven’s name do politicians and military personnel give out information on the United States’ war strategies? Hell, I knew when and where additional troops (the “surge”) would hit the ground in Iraq. If I did, the enemy sure did and they used it to their advantage by moving locations, laying low and stashing weaponry.
The President today refused to comment on troop reductions. Nancy Pelosi did however comment saying ”The president’s Iraq policy will result in the same number of troops committed to an endless war in Iraq at the end of this year as were there at the end of 2006.” This statement makes it seem as if all of the “surge” troops will be withdrawn by year’s end. WHAT THE F#@K?! Is Nancy trying to win this war and keep the enemy off balance or are is she more interested gaining political points from stalwart anti-war supporters regardless of tipping off the enemy to our strategies? This constant running of the lips is not limited to democrats and republicans, generals and other commanding officers have open their mouths too. This is a lot like yelling to your friend with a bullhorn while hiding in a game of kick the can.
Remember, loose lips sink ships. So, shut up already!

You have to realize Bill that the Dems are more interested in getting the troops out of Iraq than winning the war. As such, whatever they can do to hasten the “redeployment” of our soldiers is fair game. If that means in the meantime that more of them will die because of their loose lips, well, that’s George W’s fault for having them there in the first place.

Karl,
you are incorrect.Bush was forced. We still are being forced because we are the only nation that tries to enforce U.N. rules.
People, think.
Saddam was supposed to have his weapons dismantled, inspected, counted and removed. The U.N. played hide and seek for 10 years!
I know that if i had the resources of a country available to me, i would not get caught with that stuff I shouldn’t have. 10 years. My 14 yo could have done that!
Did anyone else notice that it only took Iran 2 years to build it’s plutonium refinery? I wonder where they got the stuff to do that?
Was it ANOTHER deal brokered by France or was giving the weapons over to our most frightening enemy a pleasure for him.
Iran is our scariest enemy. It should be everyone’s scariest enemy because it is a theocracy. Look it up, Theocracies commit more atrocities in the name of God than Hitler and the Kmer Rouge combimed.
I have another good question for all of you that say it’s a war we shouldn’t be in. Did appeasement work for Chamberlin?
or how about the World Trade Center attack? Do you think those folks think their lives are worth fighting for?
I’ll give you the answer. Next time, and yes, there is always a next time, we go in, get rid of the regime where ever it is, and we leave immediately. The only thing we will leave behind is the promise that we will come back and do it again if they come up with another rogue government.
And on a personal note, to all you peace at all costs types out there.
SHUT UP!
Every population of plant or animal on this planet that managed to eliminate it’s competition either went extinct or was absorbed into a larger more aggressive population. ACCEPT IT!! Human beings are resourceful, aggressive and warlike. Wealways have been and always will be. OWN IT!!
If we ever stop being aggressive and warlike, you peace at all costs folks will win the arguement, but it won’t matter because that will be the death knell of our species.

Spike is articulate. Put him on the website roster.

When one of the authors uses “WHAT THE FUCK?” as a part of his presentation, “SHUT UP!” and “ACCEPT IT!” seem much more appealing.

“Look it up, Theocracies commit more atrocities in the name of God than Hitler and the Kmer Rouge combimed.”
Well, yeah, atheistic regimes don’t commit atrocities in the name of God. So?

Now, Now, Burnman. I had the decency to not spell out the offense word. A pity your dirty mind fills in the blanks for all to see.
February 1st, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Well gosh darn Bill. The next time I will use freaking symbols to cover up the offense words. No one will know what the h-e-double hockey sticks I was really saying.
February 1st, 2008 at 2:28 pm
excellent, Burnman, excellent.
Really, if my symbolic expletive offended you, my apologies.
February 1st, 2008 at 11:01 pm
It didn’t offend. It was just a stupid 7th grade way to make a point.

Right-o, Burnman. I will be sure to submit my posts to you before publishing. That way you can “church” them up for me.

SPike,
You said, “I have another good question for all of you that say it’s a war we shouldn’t be in.”
I guess I would ask who you are referring to on this website. I certainly have never said that. There are, to my knowledge, no peacenik contributors to this blog. We DO get a lot of commenters who are smitten with Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell, and his ilk. But, I suppose that is the nature of running a political blog.
I think you will find that this website does not advocate peace at any cost.
You seemed to be responding to my comment. I just wonder if you haven’t misread what I wrote. I am castigating the Dems for their withdraw no matter the consequences positions. Just so we’re clear.

Church up what? Write all the obscenities you want, Bill. Who cares?
